Dr. Parker received his BSE from Duke University, his MD from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, and his PhD in philosophy from Rice University. Dr. Parker also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Nephrology at East Carolina University/Vidant Health in Greenville, NC, and currently practices as a private-practice nephrologist in the area.
Dr. Parker completed his dissertation at Rice University on Moral Complicity. He currently is a co-instructor in the M-1 Medical Ethics class. He is Chair of the Medical Ethics Committee at Vidant Medical Center.
