Dr. Hellen Ransom received her BS from Tuskegee University in biology, her Master’s in philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi, and her Doctor of Healthcare Ethics from Duquesne University. Dr. Ransom also completed a fellowship in clinical ethics at Bon Secours Richmond Health System in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Ransom’s dissertation Applying Fairness to Address Health Disparities among Vulnerable Populations in the United States, explored the ethical significance of providing vulnerable populations with greater and fairer access to health and health care resources in the United States. She has over seven years of teaching experience with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the following topics: biology, general sciences, cultural sensitivity, and health care ethics, philosophy, and ethics.
